The Keeper

Created during academic figure drawing sessions, this large-scale original charcoal drawing is based entirely on direct observation from a live model. Rooted in classical academic training, the work focuses on structure, anatomical precision, tonal balance, and the physical presence of the human figure.

Executed in charcoal on kraft paper, the drawing uses the natural warmth of the surface to develop depth, softness, and contrast throughout the composition. The large format reinforces the sculptural quality of the figure while preserving the immediacy associated with traditional live figure study and academic realism.
